Oh what a find! This sheer dress was made by Ursula of Switzerland and sold at Bonwit Teller, the high-end women’s apparel store in New York City (1895-1990).  From the early years of Ursula (1970s/1980s) – before she set her focus on the bridal market – this beautifully made piece would be perfect for a modern professional woman.  This secretary style dress is completely sheer, but with a slip it is office ready!  The quilted detail around neckline and covered buttons along left shoulder that lead to a scarf-style tie at the neck add to the charm of this great dress.  The cut of the dress is a smock style that is meant to be cinched at the waist with the tie belt.  Three-quarter length sleeves.
